# Data Merge - Table (Related) Filtered

Applying a filter to merged tabular data

1. See the below link for instructions to set up a basic merged data table.

2. Enable `Add Filter` for the field you want to filter, and enter the filter condition.

   This filters the data for records where the value matches the entered text.

3. Click `Confirm`.

4. The merged data field appears in the form `{{!label}}`.

   Just like the unfiltered table, you can see real data when you preview or generate a document using a real record.
