# ECA Transition Required (2026.05.13)

**\[Important] Notice for users on older versions**

Due to a Salesforce policy change, **Connected Apps are being replaced by External Client Apps (ECA)**. If you are using a SmallBuilder product below the minimum versions listed below, metadata-related features in the builder — such as **creating tabs/buttons or adding buttons to page layouts** — may not work as expected.

For uninterrupted use, please **upgrade each product to at least the minimum version** using the links below, and then configure the External Client App (ECA) settings.
